Upcoming informational webinar on the NIH BRAIN initiative program and funding opportunities

The National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders (NIDCD), one of 10 Institutes and Centers at the National Institutes of Health that make up the NIH BRAIN Initiative, is organizing a webinar for potential BRAIN applicants.   

The Electronic Auditory Research Seminar (E.A.R.S.) series is hosting a webinar to share information about the NIH BRAIN Initiative program priorities, provide an overview of various funding opportunities, and provide guidance to potential National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders (NIDCD) applicants.  

The webinar, scheduled for April 19 from 1:00 PM ET – 2:20 PM ET, will feature presentations from NIH BRAIN Initiative and NIDCD staff as well as BRAIN Initiative awardees: 

  • Dr. Andrea Beckel-Mitchener, Deputy Director, NIH BRAIN Initiative 

  • Drs. Jim Gnadt and Karen David, Program Directors, NIH BRAIN Initiative 

  • Drs. Merav Sabri and Amy Poremba, Program Directors, NIDCD 

  • Dr. Maria Geffen, Associate Professor of Otorhinolaryngology, Neuroscience and Neurology, University of Pennsylvania 

  • Dr. Stephen David, Associate Professor of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, Oregon Health & Science University 

  • Dr. Dmitry Rinberg, Professor, Department of Neuroscience and Physiology, New York University 

The presentations will be followed by a Q&A session.
